Terms of Service#
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and kenari.dev ("kenari", "we"). They cover your use of the kenari.dev website, the dashboard and the API. By creating an account or using the API, you accept them. If you accept them for a company, you confirm you can bind that company.
The service#
kenari gives you access to the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) through our API.
- Your WhatsApp side. You connect your own WhatsApp Business accounts and phone numbers, and you create API keys.
- Our side. We forward your requests to Meta and deliver Meta's webhook events to your endpoints.
- What kenari is not. It is infrastructure for developers, not an inbox, broadcast or CRM tool.
WhatsApp is run by Meta. Using it through kenari also means agreeing to Meta's terms, including:
- the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service
- the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy
- the WhatsApp Commerce Policy
Meta can review, limit or disable your WhatsApp account or numbers under those policies, independently of us.
Your account#
- Keep your login and API keys secret. Anything done with your API keys counts as done by you. If a key leaks, revoke it in the dashboard right away.
- Give us accurate account details and keep them current.
- You are responsible for your team members' use of your account.
Acceptable use#
You must follow the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and the law that applies to your messages. In particular, you must not:
- message people who have not opted in to receive WhatsApp messages from you, or keep messaging people who opted out;
- send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or messages that are deceptive, harassing, unlawful, or infringe someone else's rights;
- sell or promote anything the WhatsApp Commerce Policy prohibits;
- impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent who is messaging;
- try to get around Meta's or kenari's rate limits, quotas or security controls, or probe, overload or attack the service;
- use kenari to collect or store sensitive data you have no lawful basis to process;
- resell access to the API without our written agreement.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, puts the service or other customers at risk, or that Meta asks us to act on. When we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. A suspended account's API calls are refused until it is restored.
Plans, trial and payment#
- Trial. New accounts get a 7-day free trial.
- Plans. After the trial, the service is billed as a flat monthly fee for your plan. Each plan includes a number of WhatsApp numbers. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page.
- Meta's charges. Meta bills you directly for WhatsApp messaging. kenari does not resell or mark up Meta's charges.
- Late payment. If a payment fails, your account keeps working for 3 days. After that, API calls are refused until the plan is paid.
- Price changes. We will give you notice before a price change applies to you.
Your data#
- Ownership. You own your data and your customers' messages.
- What we do with it. We process them only to provide the service, as our Privacy Policy describes.
- Your obligations. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any notices or consents needed for the messages you send and receive through kenari.
Availability and changes#
- Uptime. We work to keep kenari available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.
- Depending on Meta. The API depends on Meta's platform. Outages, policy changes or Graph API changes on Meta's side can affect the service, and are outside our control.
- Changes to the service. We may change or retire features. We give notice before a change that removes functionality you rely on.
Ending the agreement#
- You. You can stop using kenari and delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone.
- Us. We may end the agreement if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
- What happens to your data. Deletion follows our Privacy Policy: credentials are wiped at once, and the account is permanently deleted after 30 days.
Disclaimers and liability#
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties that are not stated in these terms, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data.
Changes to these terms#
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date. For material changes, we will tell account owners by email before they take effect. If you keep using kenari after that, you accept the updated terms.
